Our History
The ADS was registered in the year 2015 through the efforts of the former Bishop Ole Sapit who is now the Archbishop. However the organization has in operation since 1983 operating as Narok Integrated Development Program in Narok and Transmara Rural Development Program in Transmara.
The two field offices remained independent serving the larger Narok and Transmara for over ten years. Upon expansion of the work in Kericho and Bomet counties, ADS Soth rif was registered to cover all the social transformation activities within the diocese.
Who we are
Anglican Development Services (ADS) South Rift is the development arm of Anglican Church of Kenya Diocese of Kericho. It operates in Bomet, Kericho and Narok counties with a population of 3 million people in an area of 21,900 square kilometers.
What we do
The strategic goal of ADSSR is to empower communities in south rift region to be self-reliant by improving their access to education, health care, peace building, care of orphans and vulnerable children, climate change, economic empowerment and capacity building. To align to this strategic goal, the organization focused on key areas of community development support, which include Education, Food security, human health and HIV/AIDS, Water and sanitation, livelihood support, advocacy, OVC care and support. Over 60,000 people have been reached with different development activities through the focus areas. Currently, the organization is running 7 projects across Narok County.
