A Strong Start to 2025 at Erupata Compassion-Assisted Project (KE 219 CDC)
The year 2025 began on a high note at the Erupata Compassion-Assisted Project (KE 219 CDC), the Project Patron, Ven. Naikumi, chaired the first monthly meeting of the year for the ASM and the Project Caregivers. The meetings brought together the Accountability Structured Members (ASM) to address areas of priority and key issues of concern as well as provide the caregivers with project updates, upcoming events and emerging issues surrounding their duties and responsibilities as caregivers

The Accountability Structured Members (ASM) team upholds transparency, responsibility, and sustainable development in Compassion-assisted programs. Committed to ethical practices, they ensure resources reach their intended beneficiaries. Guided by Compassion’s mission,
The meeting centered on caregiver economic empowerment while prioritizing children’s well-being. The ASM Secretary reviewed 2024 achievements, highlighting progress in child education, health, and caregiver empowerment. A key feature of ASM is the Parent Representative, who bridges the community and leadership, ensuring inclusivity and advocacy for families. The Project’s Patron outlined 2025 plans to align with Compassion’s mission of holistic care. The meeting reinforced a commitment to accountability, community impact, and sustainable change. ADS SR currently implements four compassion-assisted projects in Narok and Transmara—Erupata, Mogor, Olopi, and Masurura—to support children and families, even in remote areas.
The ASM in Erupata encourages a culture of openness, bridging project staff, Compassion International, and beneficiaries to enhance the programs. By ensuring timely interventions, addressing challenges, and promoting innovative solutions, ASM strengthens program effectiveness. Beyond Compassion’s involvement, together with the staff, they empower local communities with sustainable accountability practices, fostering trust and credibility. Their work exemplifies ADS SR’s commitment to integrity and impact, ensuring resources are used effectively while inspiring donor and stakeholder confidence.
As the ASM meeting concluded, the team made their way to the eagerly awaited Caregiver meeting, where a sense of anticipation filled the air. The caregivers, gathered in numbers, were eager to hear from the esteemed Project Patron, Rev. Naikumi, on the latest updates and progress of the project. With his characteristic warmth and wisdom, Rev. Naikumi addressed the caregivers, acknowledging their unwavering dedication to the well-being of their children. He emphasized the crucial role they play in encouraging a nurturing environment and highlighted key discussions, including parental contributions, meeting attendance, and updates on the water project. His words, reinforcing the shared mission of transformation and sustainability.
Recognizing the importance of transparency and accountability, Rev. Naikumi invited the Project Social Worker to present an overview of the project’s performance in 2024. The caregivers listened attentively as achievements were outlined, challenges were acknowledged, and a collective vision for the future was shared. The highlight of the meeting came when caregivers were given the floor to voice their thoughts, concerns, and aspirations. Their insights, shaped by daily experiences, were invaluable in shaping the project’s future direction. Rev. Naikumi, ever the compassionate leader, welcomed their input with open arms, ensuring that every voice was heard and every concern was validated.
