"Guardians of Hope: Nurturing the Dreams of Orphaned and Vulnerable Children"
Restoring Dignity by empowering Children with Decent Clothing, School Uniforms and sanitary towels

In a world where the innocence of childhood is often overshadowed by harsh realities, the story of orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) emerges as an emotional reminder of our collective responsibility. Their eyes, filled with both hope and resilience, tell tales of dreams delayed but not forgotten. Caring for these young souls goes beyond mere acts of charity; it is a profound commitment to nurturing potential, restoring dignity, and building a brighter future where every child’s laughter echoes the promise of a better tomorrow.
At Anglican Development Services South Rift, we are dedicated to doing exactly that through our Compassion Assisted Project in Erupata, Narok County. Thanks to the generous support of Trinity Cheltenham, we provide children in our program with essential needs, ensuring they lead dignified lives.
Trinity Cheltenham’s partnership has been of great value and impact to our project, the Diocese and ADS SR in general. The project received Five electric sewing machines which are powered by the Solar panel system which they also donated to the project. They did not stop at that but went further to offer practical training skills on how to operate the sewing machines. Putting much consideration into sustainability, they provided an amount of money that was to be used to engage a qualified trainer to carry on with the training sessions. The machines are now being used to sew reusable sanitary towels for the girls and school uniforms for the school-going children in the project.
Through this support, caregivers are provided with skills of sewing and dress making. With the skills that they have learnt, they can sew uniforms, home cloths, trousers and dresses for both boys and girls.
As a result of our efforts at the Anglican Development Services South Rift, with the unwavering support of Trinity Cheltenham, the children in Erupata, Narok County, are experiencing transformative outcomes. They now have access to decent clothing and school uniforms, which has significantly boosted their self-esteem and sense of belonging.
Improved attendance and performance in school are evident as they no longer face the stigma of inadequate clothing. These children are not only more confident but also more hopeful about their future, symbolizing the true essence of a dignified and promising life.
Compassion Erupata Project, ADS SR and the ACK Diocese of Kericho highly appreciates and values this partnership with Trinity Cheltenham.
